Rembang, July 09, 2022 - PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) distributed a total of 23 sacrificial animals consisting of 7 cows and 18 goats worth hundreds of millions of rupiahs to the people of Rembang and Blora Regencies to celebrate Eid al-Adha 1443 AH, Saturday (7/9).

The sacrificial animals were distributed to 14 locations and directly received by Islamic boarding schools, religious organizations, the administrators of Agung Rembang Mosque, and the village governments around PTSG's operational areas.

PTSG's Senior Manager of Communication and CSR, Dharma Sunyata, stated that the distribution of the sacrificial animals reflected PTSG's spirit of sharing and commitment to growing and developing together with the community.

"PTSG always shares happiness with the community, especially in observing Eid al-Adha 1443 AH. The distribution of these sacrificial animals is expected to help thousands of eligible citizens," Sunyata explained in the press release.

Suppliers of the Sahabat Ternak Semen Gresik Program

Sunyata added that the suppliers of the sacrificial animals this year were farmers participating in the Sahabat Ternak Semen Gresik program, a mentoring program for the community in six villages around PTSG's operational areas to manage farms, from breeding or rearing calves or kids to marketing the products.

Therefore, it led to community empowerment and economic improvement for the local community. "The sacrificial animals have undergone a strict physical examination and have been declared healthy and fit for human consumption," added Sunyata.

The distribution of the sacrificial animals was part of PTSG's Environmental Social Responsibility program. This pillar aims to encourage the fulfillment of basic human rights in a fair and equal manner to create prosperity for the entire community.

"PTSG has distributed sacrificial animals every year since the operation of the Rembang factory in 2017. Until 2022, as many as 299 sacrificial animals consisting of 79 cows and 220 goats have been distributed to the beneficiaries in Rembang and Blora Regencies," Sunyata concluded, Saturday (7/9).
